Our Staff

My name is Beth Vislosky and I am the Owner and Director of Little Appleseed Learning Center.  I have over 25 years of experience working with children of all ages. I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and have completed the Director’s Credential and CDA program. During my career I have received many rewarding recognitions including being awarded the Early Education of the Year Award in 2005. My most recent position was at a nationally recognized Child Care Facility as a Director for over 10 years. At that location I was able to maintain their 4 Star Keystone Stars status and their NAEYC accreditation. I also was able to meet and exceed all expectations for the State requirements. I have worked for both a corporate company as well as an individually owned child care location. My variety of experience is with all ages ranging from birth to 13.

I have two children of my own, Kirsten (16) and Kate (11) and have been married to Luke for over 17 years now. I enjoy spending time with my children during my down time. I love to travel and my favorite place is the beach. To own my own school has been my lifelong dream and I look forward to being able to provide the best care and education to your children! 

Ms. Lisa is our full time Infant Teacher. She has many years of experience working with children of all ages, but truly enjoys the infants. She has worked as a nanny and as a lead teacher in other child care centers. She is excited to take care of and help the infants through each of their developmental phases. Ms. Lisa loves to do art with the children and is so creative with their footprints, handprints and fingerprints. In her spare time she enjoys cooking and painting old furniture. She loves to go to garage sales and prefers the cold weather. We are thrilled to have Ms. Lisa at our school! 

Ms. Julie is our full time Preschool Teacher. She graduated with a Master of Education degree from California University of Pennsylvania and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Education with a dual major in both Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education. She has many years of experience working with children and has been a substitute teacher in elementary schools over the past few years. In her spare time she enjoys running, loves to travel and her favorite food is pickles. Ms. Julie is very passionate about teaching and is enthusiastic about preparing your child for Kindergarten. We are so very excited to have Ms. Julie at our school and look forward to all the fun curriculum activities that she has planned for our preschoolers! 

Ms. Jess is also a full time Preschool teacher and works with the younger Preschoolers. Ms. Jess has her Master’s in Education and her teaching certificate for both early education and elementary education. She is excited to prepare your child for Kindergarten and help them to grow as individuals. Ms. Jess enjoys doing fun science projects, active music time fun and has planned many creative alphabet crafts for your children. She enjoys reading and running during her spare time and loves to go to outdoor music concerts. We are so happy to have Ms. Jess as a part of our teaching team! 

Ms. Mallory is our full time Older Toddler teacher.  She is currently working on getting her Early Education Degree and has been working with young children for over 5 years now.  She enjoys playing games with the children in the gym, or on the playground and does fun activities during circle time.  Outside of the classroom, Ms. Mallory enjoys doing Zumba, reading and cooking. It is a pleasure having Ms. Mallory on our staff! 

Ms. Deb is a part time teacher in our Infant Room.  She graduated from the University of Phoenix with her nursing degree.  She has been in child care for the past 4 years and prior to that was a full time nurse for the past 30 years.  She loves to travel, go scuba diving, swimming and go to the movies.  Her favorite thing about teaching infants is the snuggling and she loves to see them smile, laugh and grow.  

Ms. Sarah is a full time teacher in our Preschool Readiness classroom.  She earned her Early Education and Childhood Development degree from CCAC and has over 10 years of experience working with children.  Her goal for her classroom is for the children to know the alphabet, numbers 1-10, be able to identify their colors and shapes and recognize their name by learning how to spell it.  She is an expert on potty training and has done a fantastic job preparing all of the children to move onto Preschool.  In her spare time, she enjoys being outside in nature and spending time with her family.  Her favorite thing about teaching is seeing the remarkable difference in children from the beginning of the year to the end. 

 Ms. Kattie is a full time Older Toddler teacher.  She graduated from BCC with her Associates degree in Early Childhood Education.  She loves to create a fun environment where the children are interacting with each other while learning.  Her favorite thing to do on her spare time is spend time playing games with her son and do crafts.  She is very creative with her art projects for the children and isn’t afraid to get messy! Seeing the children grow and learn while having fun is her favorite part of teaching. 

Ms. Madison is a full time teacher in our Older Toddler room.  She earned a dual Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania.  She has over 5 years of experience and she loves teaching because the children keep her smiling and laughing all day long.  Her goal is to help them experience new things and learn using a creative and hands-on approach that prepares them for Kindergarten.  In Madison’s spare time she enjoys crocheting and scrapbooking.  She loves to travel, spend time with her family and enjoys trying new restaurants.  

Ms. Jen is one of our full time Older Infant teachers.  She has been working with children for the past 10 years in a both an academic and medical setting.  She enjoys shopping, painting and doing seasonal crafts on her spare time and her favorite place is the beach.  During her spare time, she has also always been very involved in her community and enjoys organizing community and neighborhood events.  She loves working with younger one year olds because she finds it so rewarding to watch them grow into toddlers.  She enjoys spending time playing with them on the floor building with blocks, playing with puppets, or reading them books.  

Ms. Stephanie is also a full time Older Toddler room teacher.  She graduated from the University of Charleston with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and a minor in Health.  During her spare time, she loves to work in her garden and her favorite vacation spot is the beach.  She loves working with the toddlers because they always make her laugh and give her lots of hugs.  She enjoys seeing them grow and learn new skills every day.  

Ms. Meghan is one of our full time Young Toddler teachers.  She has many years of experience working with children of all ages.  She graduated from Mars High School and is currently working on her degree from BCC.  She loves working with toddlers and enjoys helping them to expand their vocabulary.  She likes reading them books and doing interactive songs with them to get them up and dancing.  

Ms. Amanda is our part time Preschool and Toddler teacher.  She helps out in both of the classrooms but spends most of her evenings with our preschoolers.  She is currently working on her degree from Duquesne University.  Amanda loves to go shopping, do paintings and travel when she can.  She enjoys playing games with the children and getting the children organized for the end of the day departures.   

Ms. Monica is one of full time Infant teachers.  She has many years of experience working with children and has 4 children of her own.  She graduated from BCC with her Early Childhood and Education degree and has worked as a teacher in several other child care centers.  When Monica is working she enjoys baking, spending time with her children and decorating her house.  She loves working with infants and snuggling with them while reading a book in the rocking chairs.
